Requirements
Any smart, enthusiastic person, 21 or older from a variety of backgrounds, is welcome to apply to this retreat especially designed for weavers to ignite your passion to create authentic seasonal designs for your unique hand woven’s content, weight and hand, and to realize them. All levels of construction experience are invited to align your direction and purpose with a Paris-trained Designer in a vibrant, exciting week among other weavers in order to move confidently forward in your life and career.
Each day
Every day will include two 2-hour design sessions exploring industry elements (textiles, accessories, apparel, figurine drawing and painting skills, vision/detail boards), one session after breakfast, the second after lunch or dinner. Exploration in an outdoor natural setting and local culture is part of the experience to allow time to process and enjoy free time to take a beat, network, weave new ideas and collaborate.
Deposits, Payments, Fees, & Refunds
The cost of the upcoming Workshop varies, with our accommodation (double occupancy or single occupancy), or on your own. There is an application fee of $25.00 and a personal statement of why you wish to attend, what interests you most, your dream to pursue and what you will contribute to the workshop. Upon acceptance, a deposit will secure your place. The balance is due prior to the start of the workshop, which includes the application fee. If the Workshop is filled the application fee may be applied to a different workshop. All cancellations, for any reason whatsoever, will be subject to a $100 per person cancellation fee. Workshop Venue, Our Accommodations, Your Hosts
Transportation to and from the retreat venue is the participant’s responsibility; you are invited to work with our travel partner. Trip cancellation insurance is strongly advised. Transportation is provided to and from the closest airport or transportation center to the accomodations with six (6) nights of accomodation (single or double occupancy). Specifics will be sent upon reservation confirmation.

Included in the Workshop price
All necessary materials and tools for the Workshop to complete a portfolio of your unique designs. Bring along any handwovens. Two 2-hour design sessions each day and an exploration session per day for daily fashion, museum or gallery tours, and time to network with artists and artisans. There will be plenty of free time to reflect, connect, explore and socialize. 6 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 3 dinners and 5 cocktail hours are included. Transportation on island for all instruction, entertainment and lecture fees when with the group. Local Historical or Art Association membership.
